Song xiuyan won her second term as the governor of northwestern China's Qinghai Province.She was elected by the first plenary session of the 11th Qinghai Provincial People's Congress on January 16,2008.She served as governor the first time on January 22,2005,making her the second female provincial governor in China since 1949.Song was born in the northeastern China's Shenyang City of Liaoning Province in October 1955.She has been working in Qinghai for more than 30 years.
